Quarterly report - December 2008

Excerpt ...

• The resource drill out at Glen Wills South has now been completed and the geological team is waiting to receive the final assay results to complete the resource estimate update.
• Work on the Glen Wills scoping study is nearing completion and the results are expected to be announced by the end of March 2009.
• Recent metallurgical work has confirmed that the gold mineralisation found at Glen Wills is different from the gold style typically found in Victoria.
• A new petrological study indicates that the style of mineralisation is the same at both Glen Wills and Sunnyside, thus giving a possible 5km long strike length.
• The geological team has proposed an exploration program for the “Victory Line” of historic workings to test for additional mineralisation parallel to the “Glen Wills Line” to the south of the Homeward Bound Fault in the southern part of the deposit.
• Assay results received for drilling at Sunnyside include 3.1 metres at 39.56 g/t for the southern-most hole drilled on the United Brothers line (SSDH053).
• The inferred mineral resource for Sunnyside was increased by 80% for the United Brothers line – one of 3 lines of mineralisation present at Sunnyside.
• Synergy was awarded a grant of $41,000 from the Victorian Government to commence drilling at the Merrimac deposit
• The Victorian Department of Primary Industries has advised that Synergy’s Benambra tenements were granted on 28 January 2009. Synergy is planning a base-metals exploration program to be undertaken later this year.
• Synergy is investigating the financial viability of the offsite toll-treatment of the mullock and tailings which are located on the company’s Glen Wills and Sunnyside tenements.
