Exploration & Development

The Synergy group controls a strategic parcel of granted exploration licences and applications in eastern Victoria covering some 2100 km2. Based on historical workings and modern geological interpretation the tenements are highly prospective for multi-commodity potential.

The latest independent review by Coffey Mining Pty Ltd has confirmed Synergy’s exploration strategy including the utilisation of the intrusion-related gold system model. Synergy is expanding its exploration focus to target some of the many minerals which historically have been found in the region such as gold, silver, tin, copper, zinc, lead, tungsten and molybdenum.

The Synergy Board and exploration and development team are now working on the following major projects:

Glen Wills South – Gold Development

The first part of the number 5 adit has recently been refurbished and is now being prepared for the commencement of underground drilling. A resource drill-out of about 5000 metres of drilling has commenced (with the initial drilling from surface) to achieve an inferred mineral resource for the southern part of the Glen Wills deposit with a target completion by December 2008.

Synergy is now also developing a scoping study program in conjunction with Coffey Mining and which is expected to be completed by March 2009 after the initial resource drill out has been completed for Glen Wills South.

A second resource drill out will also be considered for the Glen Wills Central area to the north of Glen Wills South.

Sunnyside – Gold Exploration

The company has reported high grade intersections and visible gold at Sunnyside from recent drilling. The drilling program is expected to continue during the remainder of 2008 to identify and delineate additional high-grade structures with a view of increasing the previously announced inferred mineral resource.

Merrimac – Gold Exploration

Synergy plans to commence a costeaning (trenching) program during the September 2008 quarter in the highly promising areas already identified from soil sampling. The costeans will allow detailed structural investigations and sampling to occur below the soil surface profile.

The results from the costeaning will allow the exploration team to design the most appropriate follow-up work which is likely to incorporate a program of reverse circulation drilling.

In addition, the successful regional geochemical soil sampling program will again be extended into the northern continuation of the Merrimac system during the coming months.

Regional Exploration Targets

The Synergy exploration and development team is being expanded to allow some initial desktop studies and preliminary work plans to be developed for the following areas of interest and their target minerals:

Area or Regional Target Target Minerals
Granite Flat Gold and copper
Benambra style deposits Copper and zinc
Glen Wills Gold and tin
Bingo Munjie Copper and molybdenum
Mt Murphy Tungsten
Comstock/Forsythes Silver
