Poh Kiat

Mr. Poh holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, United Kingdom, a Diploma in Management Studies from the Singapore Institute of Management, and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Singapore Polytechnic.

Mr. Poh has over 30 years’ experience at senior management level in the construction, real estate development, manufacturing and financial industries. From 1998, he was Managing Director of Singapore Stock Exchange listed Teamsphere Limited, leading the strategic management and business development of the Company prior to Delong Steel’s successful reverse acquisition of Teamsphere Limited in 2005. He has also held senior positions in corporate finance and mezzanine capital investment companies in Malaysia.

Since 2005, Mr. Poh has managed a Singapore based investment advisory company that focuses on participating in strategic stakes in listed companies. Poh is currently an independent director of Centrex Metals Limited (ASX:CXM).

Captain Shaw Pao Sze

Non-Executive, Independent Director – Appointed 15 October 2010

Mr Sze, an Australian citizen, has spent over 30 years of his career in the Neptune Orient Lines (“NOL”) Group of companies, rising to become managing director of some of the Group companies at various times. His expertise gained covers a spectrum of activities such as corporate planning for NOL headquarters, conventional and containerized shipping in areas of ownership and operation, shipping agency, cargo handling and haulage, port operations and development and heavy lifting.

Since leaving NOL, Mr Sze has been a consultant to several companies that operate in areas of which he is well experienced. He has previously served on the boards of Freight Links Express Holdings (Australia) Limited (listed on ASX), Freight Links Express Holdings (Singapore) Limited and Teamsphere Limited (both listed on the Singapore Exchange) and Nepline Berhad (listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange). He had also served as an Honorary Trade Representative for Australia of the Singapore Trade Development Board. Sze is currently an independent director of Zicom Group Limited (ASX:ZGL).

Mr Sze currently manages his own business in consulting, logistics and heavy lifting.

Freddie Heng

Non-Executive Director – Appointed 29 January 2008

Mr Kim Chuan Freddie Heng is a Chartered Accountant and has a BSc (Economics) from the London School of Economics. He worked with an international accounting firm in London and Singapore.

Mr Heng is currently a director at Noel Gift International Limited, a company which was listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange in 1993. Prior to that, he was an Executive Director (Finance) at Van Der Horst Limited from 1992 to 2000. During this period he oversaw the structuring of four oil pipeline and storage depot projects in Indonesia. He also oversaw the successful issue of floating rate notes to financial institutions in East Asia to fund the first of those projects.

For the past seven years Freddie has pursued his own interests in investments, primarily in listed companies. He is not a director of any other ASX listed company.

Andrew Metcalfe, (B.Bus, CPA, FCIS)

Company Secretary – Appointed 7 Apr 2009

Mr Metcalfe has over 24 years experience in finance and accounting and over 15 years as Company Secretary of a number of ASX listed companies. He is employed by Accosec Consultants, a specialist service provider of Company Secretarial, Governance and Corporate Administration Services to public and small cap ASX listed companies, assisting with corporations act and listing rule compliance, board and general meeting services, accounting and statutory report preparation and ensuring companies maintain a proper corporate governance environment.

Mr Metcalfe is a CPA and is an active member and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Australia. Andrew has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, British Gas (UK), Swiss Bank Corporation (UK), and various small to medium ASX listed, Canadian listed and Australian public companies. His experience includes Resources, Energy, Property, Retail, Entertainment, IT, Environmental, and Finance Industries. Andrew assists Synergy in company secretarial processes and procedures, including corporate governance matters.
